I love the feel of this room... The brick wall (I love brick walls, painted or not), the soft lighting and the soft colours, those dear heads on the wall... Love, love it. I'm back on my home decor obsession! I think I wouldn't be able to rent an apartment by myself. Unless I become really rich in the near future, finding a suitable apartment will be near impossible with what I'd be able to pay. I'm talking under $600. :( If I can move out with my boyfriend, that'd be best. No need for two rooms (well, except maybe to use as an office), and we still get to share the rent. Perfect! Now, just gotta wait a few years... ( Some more pics for fun. )Ugh, I feel like a whale lately... I've been gaining pounds like crazy. I tried running, but I tend to uh forget to do it everyday. :( I have to motivate myself a bit more! Also, I just got my periods so my face EXPLODED these last few days. I have pimples everywhere, I HATE IT UGH, I want to go to sleep and wake up only when everything is over. -_- But doing that will make me gain more weight. Whoopee.

Last time I was a real fangirl was... well... a few years ago. Back then, Tackey & Tsubasa were very active, going to variety shows, performing here and there, releasing singles and albums, up until they released 愛想曲 (セレナーデ). Now I don't know what happened, but they seem to be doing only solo activities? I'm not sure anymore, I don't keep track. :(
Recently though, I've been spazzing hard over 2PM. The Jaebeom situation made me very sad (even more so because he was my favourite member), and Wooyoung crying at the MAMA awards, after they won Best Artist of the Year, totally broke my heart. I've been watching their variety shows and performances over and over on Youtube, and I talk about them all the time hahaha. I feel like a high school student! It got to a point where my boyfriend is annoyed, oops! So I try to avoid the subject when with him. :P
That aside, it was birthday yesterday. Happy 22nd anniversary to me! Ugh 22 already and I barely did anything with my life. *sighs* School-wise, things are already not going according to plans and it bugs me, but I try and stay positive. I told someone the other day that I am positive 360 days a year, or I at least try to. I must say, I have wonderful caring friends who are always, always there to support me. Even if I don't get to see them as often as I'd like to (even though we don't live so far apart), I still talk to them everyday and they're probably my most prized possession! :)
I had a birthday dinner on Sunday night with some of my best friends, ( here are some photos. )

I wanted to write an entry for the heck of it. I thought that I didn't update this journal enough. But then, I didn't know what to write about! So I'm going to do a fall 2009 wishlist post...
Frankly, when I started to prepare this entry, I realized that there wasn't much on my wishlist. In fact, apart from some general ideas of what I want, I had nothing specific. I think the fact that I have no income at the moment keeps me from dreaming a bit too much. It might be better this way in fact.
Some quick browsing quickly made me change my mind though. I must say though, I have grown insanely picky and I am starting to prefer simple pieces over complicated ones. I think my ideal closet would be 75% basics and 25% fancy items. ( Anyway, I have made a collage... )( Also, a recent outfit. )

Aside from fashion, photography, food, I also really really like home decor. I love looking at home style magazines and blogs, and also like to look at available housing for rent/sale just for fun. I pretend that the latter is gonna help me look for a place when I move out in a few years. I'll know what I want, what to avoid, etc. Having moved so many times though, I kinda learned a lot already.
That said, when I moved back to my mom's last year, I painted the then-yellow room into white, thinking I could make it into something really minimalistic, with only blacks, whites and neutrals. As the months passed however, I started regretting my choice of wall colour. My room looked bland, I wanted to paint my walls a mushroom colour, or maybe a medium grey. I just really wanted to change everything.
I spent the last two months on a high home style kick, and kept saving pictures and pictures for inspiration for my future home. I never realized though that I could use the very same pictures for inspiration for my current room, and yesterday it finally clicked!
I really like the sort of style you see in the picture above: white walls, white furniture, and splashes of colour integrated through pillows, frames, accessories. So I thought I would just do that. I basically have the canvas ready; I have white walls and white furniture. I just need to change my comforter (which I like but it's ripped) and add some pillows, frames, and desk accessories. That's it! So simple, but so right.
I never thought of doing this before because I was basically scared of colour. But I think I've overcome my fear! Only for home decor though, not on myself haha. ( Some pictures for inspiration )

Basics for about $30 shipped total? Yes please! I came across a 50% off coupon code for BlueNotes last night, and couldn't resist picking up some stuff. They were also having a BOGO 50% off sale on all tops, as well as free shipping on all orders, so everything ended up being very cheap. I never shopped at Blue Notes before, considering they don't have any locations in Montreal (or anywhere in Quebec for that matter), and I didn't bother when I went to Toronto since the style is a bit too young for me. But hey! Can't be that bad when it's just simple tops right? And yep that's a mens shirt, but the one size left was so small I thought it could fit me. :D
Concerning the previous entry, my photos with the Wonder Girls and JYP were taken at their concert in Montreal last Saturday. As most of you probably know, they were opening for the Jonas Brothers, so it was a wonderful opportunity to meet them. I bought the cheapest ticket since they were singing only two songs, but wow, what I got out of that cheap ticket was wonderful! We got to go backstage during the concert to have 'private' time with them, take pictures, talk a bit. I was so awestruck, I didn't get to tell them anything that made sense LOL. :( I got to hug them however (there's a video of me hugging Yoobin floating on Youtube!11!!1). Later on after the show, they had a general meet and greet with everybody and I could once again take pictures with them and got their autographs. Haha, telling this story, I feel like such a fangirl and a child, but it's probably the only time I'll ever get to meet some of my favourite artists in my hometown, so I don't feel at all embarrassed, but rather overjoyed!

Even if I kept complaining about how summer hasn't come around until mid-August (mostly due to the incessant rain we've been getting over here), I still remain an autumn girl. There is usually sun, but a fresh breeze that allows us to layer our clothes. With back-to-school around the corner, I've already been thinking about fall clothing. Once colder weather starts rolling around, I revert back to my black, grey, white and navy palette.
I want chunky knit sweaters, skinny leather pants, more booties and pumps, and a real leather jacket. The one up there is the Kimora by Mackage, and is obviously way out of my price range. I did try it on however and it was absolutely dreamy. Nice fit, buttery soft leather, cute and removable fur hood. Also, the pumps are from Nine West, but from last year's fall/winter collection I believe. I have to hunt them down because they're absolutely wonderful.
I made a small trip to Toronto last week-end, for a total of four days. I would be glad if it became a tradition for me and Kang to have a week-end trip every year. Anyway, Toronto was great, I had never actually visited the downtown part of it before so I enjoyed it very much. What I enjoyed most, however, was the hotel suite that we had booked. It came out very cheap, especially considering the size, amenities and location. We stayed at the Cosmopolitan Hotel and Spa Toronto, which was right smack downtown, corner Yonge and Colborne. Five minutes walk away from the Eaton Centre, two minutes walk to the subway station. ( Amazing! )

Nearly one month since my last entry... Or one-liner... The weather hasn't changed much by the way. I feel like summer is gonna be in late August/September instead, when everybody is gonna be back in school. -___- I'm going on a mini trip at the end of the summer, so Mother Nature better be nice to us. :( And the garbage strike better be over in Toronto, too hahaha.
The reason I haven't been writing is the usual: same old routine every day, nothing nearly glamourous to even mention. Still work at the same place, even though I wasn't planning on staying there too long. I have my issues with how the place is managed, but I love most of my coworkers, and learning how to deal with all types of customers is a nice thing. All in all a nice experience, though the salary is less than ideal, and the hours aren't guaranteed, which can cause problems at times. But it'll do for now. Considering the recession, I don't wanna risk anything.
Boring stuff aside, I hadn't done a picture post for a while right? Even with my meager salary, I still found a way to spend on clothes a little. I keep repeating it, but everything has felt uninspiring these days, I had a really hard time getting dressed this summer. But I bought a little more these last few weeks, mostly thanks to the sales everywhere, and hopefully I'll get to wear them a bit later.

Long time no see!
I was organizing my memories and editing my profile earlier and realized I hadn't made an entry in a while. This week has been a bit difficult, due to family issues and I hadn't had the opportunity to think about anything else. All is well now, however, thankfully. I tried to relax myself by shopping today (with the poor boyfriend) but I came home with bruised feet and nothing new to wear but hairclips. I'm unsure as to whether the clothes are just really uninspiring compared to, say, last year, or if I just became really, really picky. It's probably also the fact that I gain much less money than I used to. *sobs*
The weather doesn't permit for strictly summer clothes yet (we're only at around 20C even though it's already mid-June!), but I can see that I'm slowly running out of clothes to wear... I've only bought one thing recently and it's ( this dress. )
I am now looking for light basics (flowy, light tank tops) and tops in floral print, silky material, etc. I'd also like a straw fedora. Yes, I'm a trendwhore, yadda yadda. *sighs* I am so tired of my closet!! I feel like burning it rawr!!!
I am also tired of the way my room looks. It's not the way I want it to be, and right now there's nothing much I can do! I'd really like it if my room could look like this or this! I'm nowhere close to that though, but I'm reaaaaaaaaally trying to make my space cozier and prettier...

Yours truly went to see Star Trek last night... And I loved it! I know nothing about the series, but they remade the story to be enjoyable for both new viewers and long-time fans. And and and, I already liked Zachary Quinto (big Heroes fan here), but DAMN! Now I'm head over heels for him. XDD I can't stop thinking about Spock! I never thought I'd ever say this!
Anyway, the real purpose of this post was to show off my new dress... I found a soopuh cute white summer dress at Zara the other day, but I'm unsure as to whether I should keep it or not. Few of my friends, my boyfriend included, have stated it looked like a nightgown, but I still love it a lot. :(

So, is it a keep?

Wow, I haven't blogged for over a month! I got busy with work (same excuse as always) and I guess I didn't have much to talk about. My shifts are long and monotonous most of the time, so I get bored and tired easily.
The weather is so bipolar. Some days it'll be 30C, some other days it'll be under 10C, and it can change drastically in less than 24hrs. The transition also hasn't been too smooth, so my mostly winter-y closet was found to be quite uninspiring. Hence, I've become quite confused as to what I should wear. I just end up wearing the same outfits over and over again, until I have the occasion and money to seriously shop for spring/summer clothes. What did I wear last summer? I wonder... :)
Anyhow for this spring, I'm aiming for a mostly light palette. I want creams and whites, and soft neutrals, lace, ruffles, silk... Basically lightweight and flowy fabric. Of course, there would be some blacks, greys and navy thrown in (otherwise I wouldn't be me). I would also like some floral patterns, either on dresses or skirts. Online and brick-and-mortar stores don't quite have what I want however... I'm at a loss. :( I'm hoping to find something perfect soon. Meanwhile I've been scouring eBay and Etsy. ( Inspiration board/wishlist )A lot of the nice things I -do- find however are from online UK retailers, 98% of which do not ship overseas. What a bummer. :( I wished I had a good friend in the UK that could receive packages for me LOL.
I did buy some things recently (read: in the last month and a half), though not necessarily spring stuff. ( Recent purchases + one outfit picture )For a personal blog (i.e. not a fashion blog), I talk quite a lot about clothing and shopping don't I? *sighs* It's like I don't have any other interests, a bit sad LOL. I do read however! Sometimes. I'm currently reading The Time Traveler's Wife, which is pretty good by the way. It's a bit confusing at times, but I'm enjoying it.
Do you guys have any books to recommend?

This month's issue of Teen Vogue has Miley Cyrus on the cover. Now, I don't have anything personal against the girl or anything, but she's not exactly one that I find inspiring fashion-wise. So it made me wonder whether the staff had gone coo-coo, or if I had just become too old for this magazine which, I admit, read every month. Lately, I've found the content to be sub-par as well, at least compared to what they used to offer. Again, it makes me wonder if I just grown out of it, and I'm ready to believe that I have. But I still think Miley is not fit to be on the cover of this magazine. :P She wears sweatpants and UGGs 80% of the time! How unoriginal.
Well, needless to say, I haven't bought the current issue yet. But! Enough hatin'.
With spring coming (we finally had sun today), the natural feeling of wanting to clean is taking over me. Of course, first thing I'm going to attack is my closet. Now, I probably do 'spring cleaning' every two months or so, but I still feel unsatisfied with what I have. I have so many pieces that I keep and I don't know what to do with them. So many things I keep because I have nothing else to wear, but I don't love them. Anyhow, I'm going to go through it thoroughly tomorrow. In fact, if I don't sleep after I finish this entry, I might start right away.
Naturally, I put everything in good condition up for sale. I don't want my personal blog to become a marketplace, but would you guys be interested in seeing what I have for sale?
As tradition calls, I leave you guys with an outfit picture. Outside of a cut, because there's only one. I wore this for a movie night with Mr. Lee. FCUK top & skirt / Zipia belt / Payless bootsI recycled this belt and skirt SO. MANY. TIMES. I guess it just proves how much I love them (and therefore totally worth the price I paid for them i.e. more than I would ever spend on a belt and a skirt. And those Payless boots I'll probably wear for the rest of my life. That's how much I looove them!

I'm a bit tired of people around me making comments about how I sometimes/always overdress, whether I go to the grocery store or to a birthday supper. Frankly, the way I dress shouldn't matter to anyone but me. If I choose to wear a skirt or a dress just to go to a casual sushi restaurant, then I have the damn right to. And while I wouldn't wear sweatpants outside of my house, if you choose to do it, then I won't judge you (that is, until you judge me, then I will immaturely strike back). I just like pampering myself when I'm not wearing my damn blue and tan work uniform, or am in my pajamas. Some people think it's a crime to dress up or something.
My friend also told me she laughed or stared at girls that went to school with heels. I find that completely ridiculous. Maybe I just feel targeted, but I thought heels were a girl's best friend? (Diamonds are seriously passé.) I'd rather wear some, and confidently click-clack my way along the halls than feel self-conscious about my stumpy legs.
That said, spring seems to have finally manifested itself officially, woot! So, even as a mostly-black-wearing type of girl, all I can think about is colours and florals. I really want another floral dress, and I'm going to go window shopping for one tomorrow. Winners apparently received tons of new spring dresses! *squeals*
I'm also looking for basic tanks, in a silk-blend type of fabric... You know, like Alexander Wang tanks and t-shirts, except for a fraction of the price. x__x I have no idea where to find that, wherever I look, there seems to be only regular cotton ones. Apparently, H&M has some, but I have yet to find them.
Ah shopping, shopping, that's all I can think about. :P I guess after restraining myself a lot (although it may not seem so), and finally having paychecks coming in (albeit smaller than the ones I used to get), my shopping addiction finally rebooted or something. Not good, not good.
Anyway, to congratulate myself on getting a new job, I splurged a tiny bit on a new piece. That is, after I had paid off a big fraction of what I owed to other people and my credit card company. >_>
( What is it? What is it? )

♥I FINALLY got my pretties last Friday. ♥ ♥ They're BEAUTIFUL, worn or unworn hahaha. I can't wait for the snow and ice to melt so I can wear them out. :( I've already worn them ( inside the house though hahaha. )
That aside, I've started my new job! Yay! Today was only my second shift, but it's been good so far. I'm manning the cash, so apart from some extraordinary situations, I'm doing just fine. :) The bad part was shopping for part of the uniform. They give you the blue polo clad with the store logo, but you have to buy your own pants.
And they're beige.
BEIGE PANTS.
BEIGE PANTSBEIGE PANTSBEIGE PANTSBEIGE PANTSBEIGE PANTSBEIGE PANTSBEIGE PANTSBEIGE PANTSBEIGE PANTSBEIGE PANTSBEIGE PANTSBEIGE PANTSBEIGE PANTSBEIGE PANTSBEIGE PANTSBEIGE PANTSBEIGE PANTS.
Do you know how HARD it is to shop for beige pants when you don't have perfectly slim legs?! I tried so many pairs and I looked like a middle-aged man in most of them. I finally found a pair at Old Navy, which fit me best but is a bit tight. BUT IT'S OKAY. I've been meaning to lose weight man!
In other news, as saturnchen reported on her blog, Montreal is going to have its first Forever21 in the next few weeks! I'm torn on this because it's probably gonna become the next Urban Behavior, which is pretty much where EVERYBODY shops because the clothes are trendy and cheap. At the same time, I feel happy that we are able to benefit from it, and other amazing stores like Mango, Zara and H&M. They said that its location was going to be at the old Archambault music/bookstore that just closed a few weeks ago in Complexe Les Ailes. It's going to be huuuuuuuuuge.

Two entries two days in a row? Am I on a roll or what? :D Nah, it's just that I went shopping with a friend today and I had things to show off haha. She needed vintage-style clothing for an upcoming photoshoot, and she didn't have any since it's not really her style, so we went looking for some. We found, among other things, this ridiculous cute yellow mini dress with a subtle floral pattern, it's really cute for both spring and summer. I wished I could show you guys, but I don't have a photo of it. :( It was from Zara too, and their website doesn't exactly have a complete catalogue.
Did I ever mention I love Zara? I could shop there everyday and always find something to suit my tastes. ♥ That can be both a good and a bad thing, we all know that. Nonetheless, their new collections for spring are amazing!
Anyhow, while there, I couldn't resist looking at some things. I had already been eyeing this poncho, and found another top. My friend helped me pay for them *coughs* because I don't have any funds yet, but I'm definitely paying her back soon. My habits are putting my in huge debts... ( Zara munches on my wallet (or lack thereof) )

I have a love-hate relationship with Zipia. I love it because it has many, many desirable pieces, but I hate it because it has many, many desirable pieces. :( And with their $500 minimum purchase requirement, it's not like I could order every time I find something I like. Also, given the site's popularity, many items go out of stock before I can get a hold of them. -o- Anyway those two items up there are on my current wishlist. The first is a faux leather jacket in a style that seems like it could be incorporated into different outfits, whether it is jeans and t-shirts, or a dress. The second is a woolen knit circle scarf from the mens section, but I don't see why it can't be worn by females. I'm actually getting the first one already since my friends are doing an order soon, but the scarf has been out of stock for a few days, and it makes me uber sad. ;___; I had started to think up outfits to wear with it too! But I've done some research, and similar scarves are available for cheap on Gmarket (though aren't as perfect as this one) so if it doesn't come back in stock at the time my friends are ordering, Gmarket it is!
In other news, yours truly finally has a job!! So remember how I had two interviews lately? First one was for the customer service at a financial institution. I totally BOMBED the second interview by not being able to answer questions regarding my previous job (from which I was fired -o-) so needless to say I didn't get that one. It had an amazing hourly salary, but I didn't really like the attitude of the people interviewing me from the get go, so I don't know if I would've liked to work for them. Second interview was for a very well-known American chain store that sells electronics... I'm sure you can guess which one it is. There is a funny story with this one.
Basically I got my first interview on Tuesday, which went well. The girl interviewing me was really friendly, and so was everybody else. Really cool atmosphere, I would say. I got called back on Thursday night for a second interview with the director the day after. I went, signed some papers that gave them the permission to verify my criminal file, etc. and then I was supposed to get a call by Saturday. Saturday, Sunday, Monday passed and nothing. So I was getting pretty desperate and was going to attend this group interview for a job as a video game tester (urgh). HOWEVER, Tuesday afternoon, I get a call from the same girl that first interviewed me, and she's telling me that we need to schedule my shifts for next week.
o_O
Obviously, I was really confused and told her that I didn't know I had gotten the job, and she tells me that she has my signature on the job offer papers. THOSE were job offer papers?! I told her I was waiting for a call to confirm that I had indeed gotten the job, and she goes 'Oh... Well I'm announcing it to you! :D' LOL So yeah, basically I'm gonna start this new job on Sunday, at the cash. It pays much less than my previous job, but it looks cool and easy, plus beggars can't be choosers! This is much better than sitting on my ass all day surfing blogs and forums, and window shopping and crying over the many things I cannot afford.
I'm still very poor however, so I listed some auctions on eBay. XD They are stuff that I have been in my Soompi shop for a while, but never really sold or the transactions fell through. -__- I'm hoping this will work better. I'm gonna do a shameless plug by linking it RIGHT HERE! I called my shop (although it's not an official eBay store because that costs money) Péchés Mignons, which is a French expression that means guilty pleasures. I kinda really like the header I made haha. I'm still in the process of adding items up, so right now there isn't much, but it's time to sleep!

I totally want these boots! They're from Payless (of all places!) and they're on sale for CAN$25! They're really hot. XD
I went shopping with tamishka today! I hadn't seen her for suuuuch a long time even though we chat so often online. It was good seeing her again hehe. :) Poor her though, I dragged her everywhere in the rain and wet snow, she was dying in her high heeled boots!
We went thrifting in hopes of finding cheap treasures, since we both wanted to spend as little money as possible. It was my first time thrifting for real, and I happily found two items that cost me CAN$18 after taxes and all. I should go more often haha. ( My finds... )While I was at the thrift store, I missed a call from a a number I didn't recognize. The person had left a voice mail, so I listened to it, and lo and behold, it was one of the employers I had an interview with last week! I was expecting the call to come earlier so I had given up, but now I'm all giddy! :D I hope I get this job! I left them a message, and waiting for them to schedule a second interview...
Later in the evening, I got a call from ANOTHER employer that interviewed me on Tuesday, and I'm getting a second interview as well. @__@ OH MY GOD! I really thought nobody wanted me haha. I'm a bit overwhelmed right now so I'm gonna sound like gibberish. But yaaaaaay. :3
For now my fingers REALLY hurt, so I'll just leave you guys with some outfit pictures haha. ( What I wore this week... or something. )

Thanks for everyone's concern regarding my last post (about the birdies). I'm less shaken now, but I still have to tell my mom and I don't know how I will go about doing it. Also, she is currently a bit ill so I don't want to do anything that might shake her.
In other news, I'm currently still looking for a damn job. I've applied at a dozen places, and only got one call back. I had the interview on Tuesday, and did some online personality test. I'm awaiting a call to see if they'll have me for a second interview and then if everything goes well, I should be getting the job. Yay. But I'm not getting my hopes up too much... >_>
If I do get the job however, training (which is 5 weeks, full time) will only begin on March 17th, or somewhere around that date. It's a bit far, and I seriously need the money NOW. However, I'll still take advantage of the opportunity. Salary is good, and it's a reputable company as well. It would be a full-time job (at least for now and during summer) so I'll be raking in enough money to pay back my mom all the 'rent' money I owe her, and pay my bills, etc. I'm a month late in my cell phone bill payment and they're kinda pestering me over it. -__- I received some money from my Soompi sales however, and will be exchanging the currency soon in order to pay that bill, and a bit of my credit card. Phew.
It's mid-term time right now for my friends that are in school, so I must say I get pretty bored sitting all day long at home. I try to go out as much as I can, at least to get some air, but sometimes it's hard to find something to do which won't require any spending. The weather has been good this week however (except today and yesterday) so whenever I did go out, I was able to wear lighter outfits, and that made me happy. ^^
Today, Friday the 13th, was actually a pretty good day. Kang came over early in the afternoon after studying for his exams. He also brought my Valentine's Day gift, because he had bought it this morning, and really wanted to give it to me early for some reason.
He told me it was something small, and then gave me a small gift bag, containing what seemed to be a computer mouse. Admittedly, I was a bit confused at first, as to why he would think I need a new mouse haha. But then he told me to remove the little piece of paper that was stuck on the mouse, and it revealed the word 'Bamboo'. SO! I got all excited, and he took out the real gift (or at least the big rest of it) from his bag, and it was indeed the Wacom Bamboo Fun graphic tablet that I had been wanting for a while! XDD Needless to say I literally jumped on him and showered him with kisses, but I also felt bad because I had nothing for him (due, again, to my current financial situation). However, I will cook for him tomorrow (we're not going out, only staying home for a nice and lovely evening in ♥) and will get him something as soon as I am more comfortable with my money.
I love the tablet. Admittedly, I'm not a very good drawer. In fact, posting the drawing above is a bit embarrassing since I know a lot of people in my FL are way better artists. The tablet won't make me any better of course. However it will help me in everything else that I do (like photo manipulation, which I seem to enjoy these days) and hopefully I will be able to improve my drawing skills as well.
Anyway I'll end this entry before it gets too long. Err no pictures from me since I've given up on the photo a day project, at least for now. Subjects just aren't readily available when you're at home most of the time. ;__; So, just three little outfits to complete this entry. Soompiers will have already seen these. :P ( In the last week, I wore... )
